Eclipse and Full Moon Yoga Flow

Date: Thursday, August 27, 2026

Time: 7:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

Location: Breach Inlet, Isle of Palms side near The Boathouse

Celebrate the August Sturgeon Moon with an all levels yoga flow overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The class is scheduled around sunset and moonrise, creating a memorable setting for gentle movement, breathwork and meditation on the beach.

The evening also marks the beginning of a deep partial lunar eclipse visible across the Charleston area. The eclipse begins at approximately 9:23 p.m., after the yoga class, and continues into the early morning hours of August 28. At its maximum shortly after midnight, more than 90 percent of the moon will be covered by Earth’s darker shadow. NASA confirms that the partial lunar eclipse will be visible from much of North and South America. Guests who want to watch the event develop can stay after class with blankets and enjoy a rare night of sky-watching from the beach.

Organizers recommend bringing a beach towel or yoga mat, water and bug spray. The gathering is friendly for children and leashed dogs. Parking near Breach Inlet is limited, so plan to arrive early. Weather related updates will be sent by email and shared by the organizer on Instagram.

Just Beachy tip: Prepare for the entire evening with a comfortable towel, outdoor blanket, cooler, bug protection and portable outdoor speaker. If you plan to stay for the eclipse, bring an extra layer and a chair so you can relax as the night continues.
